The Halifax Mooseheads have been the pride of Scotiabank Centre since 1994, but the 2022-2023 regular season was an exceptional year with tremendous displays of leadership, skill, sportsmanship, and fan service. Starting with the home opener in September, Halifax Mooseheads and their fans showed up for every game full of energy and excitement as the team broke major franchise and venue records. From Jordan Dumais netting the most goals in a season and Josh Lawrence scoring the most points in a game (four goals, three assists) to selling out Scotiabank Centre time and again, the Halifax Mooseheads surpassed all expectations in both the QMJHL and across the province. The team took that strength and confidence all the way to the QJMHL playoffs and made us and Nova Scotia proud.
In February, the Halifax Mooseheads said farewell to longtime majority owner Bobby Smith, who led the team to the top of the division more than once and to a Memorial Cup win in 2013. We are grateful for Bobby’s leadership and community spirit over the last twenty years. We were very excited to welcome Sam and Peter Simon and family, who will continue the team’s legacy for many years to come.
