For almost fifty years, Scotiabank Centre has played an important role in our community – an iconic downtown Halifax landmark where people come together for sport, entertainment, and celebration.

2025-26 was a defining year for Scotiabank Centre.

Strategic investments and the continued strength of our partners contributed to enhanced experiences, record event activity, unforgettable moments, and meaningful impact. It was a year that expanded what the venue could mean for Halifax — welcoming new competitions, new leagues, new performers and new playoff moments.

Most importantly, fans, community members and employees were here for it all. Their energy is what makes this venue more than a building. The milestones we all shared together over the last year reflect Halifax’s well-deserved reputation as an ideal destination for major sport, entertainment, and community events.

As we look ahead to the future of this essential facility and gathering place, we’re excited about continuing to leverage the power of live events to create lasting impact for our city, province, partners, and fans of all ages.

Scotiabank Centre has always been more than a venue. It is one of the places where Halifax comes together — where we cheer, celebrate, perform, compete, and share moments that become part of our region’s story.

This past year showed, once again, why that matters.

From major concerts and community programming to the Halifax Mooseheads, Halifax Thunderbirds, Canadian Olympic Curling Trials, U SPORTS, and the energy of the PWHL Takeover Tour — Scotiabank Centre continued to bring people into the heart of downtown Halifax and contribute directly to the vibrancy of our city.

As Halifax grows, venues like Scotiabank Centre become even more important. They are part of the infrastructure of a confident, connected, modern city — supporting local businesses, bringing visitors downtown, creating shared civic experiences, and helping Halifax attract events that raise our profile across Canada.

Thank you to Suzanne Fougere and the entire Events East team for their work in delivering another strong year for this important community asset.
